Remember when pictures of babies in elaborate costumes and props took the baby scene by storm? Nothing. In fact, some pictures like the baby in the butterfly-do kinda freaks me out a little.
I don't geddit
I started taking notice of baby studio shots when Groupon started featuring more and more of them. Does that mean they are in need of attention or is there an increased demand in getting babies' pictures professionally taken? Groupon confuses me that way.
So I started googling to check out what is available in Malaysia. I see kids in a white room with piano, one sitting next to a treasure chest and there is again more kids with wings on them. wth
hmmm Seriously? What does this even mean?
Ok. I admit there are some impressive portrait shots out there.
But here's a tip, when you have your own little rugrat, you automatically earn a photography skill badge.
I made a list on why parents are really the kid's best photographer. .
1) Parents always see their babies in the best light. True story. Others see your baby as yet another baby. You will see your baby as the next top baby model. Big difference.
2) You will be with your baby at every milestone.
Taken while still at the hospital. Beat that Mr Photographer
3) You can take pictures of moments that matter to you.
Twilight feeding moment at home
Bottle feeding on own bed
5) Family and friends will sometimes take good shots.
Taken by my sis in our home
6) There is a story behind every picture.
I am the chickadee's personal photographer. And I have this blog to prove it. I am sure the chickadee can now draw my phone cover in detail.
Eventhough I am a working mum, it is all worth the time and effort. They DO grow up fast.
Our very own photo book album
Totally worth it.
