As
a mother, I am overwhelmed by this age of consumerism.
As
a Gen x mother, I want to make the most of it.
Online
articles state that gen x mummies are a bit snotty and this one sums it up for me
-> ferocious
advocates for our kids. (What's wrong with that?)
We
want to be involved in anything and everything that involves our kids. For me
personally, being a Gen x-er
does define my parenting.
Admittedly,
I am not a fashionista but
that doesn't mean my daughter can't look good. I am not rich; but that doesn't
mean my bub can't get the best out of life. Being and owning something chic doesn't mean that it has to be expensive. I can make a hand-me-down or a bargain buy rock if I choose to. How
is that for snotty ei?
I am also starting this blog as a tribute to the chic awesomeness of little Asian tots. There is not enough representation in the media
world for Asian kids. Kids clothes in Asia are mainly worn by big blue-eyed
curly blond hair children in advertisements. I don't get it. Are we popping out
Caucasian babies here?
So
here we are, my blog is dedicated to all things simple, practical and chic
for our mini Asian brood. Or in my case, my one Gen z chickadee.
